Amna to Me Part 1

These comments ill be posting are from Amna to Me on my public profile now I did lose a lot of these comments that won't be recoverable unfortunately because her profile has been erased. So the best I could do was salvage some of the comments I found using the internet. I also have some private messages and emails saved but I will leave those out because they were private and not public. I try not to go re through these comments because it does something to me the nostalgia memories, and love of her hit me hard. It feels like a part of me is stuck in the past into this constant time loop while the other half of me lives in the present. I might make some comments using * again After posting this will be last time I read these comments , its just to much to bear for me as I try to move on or heal.

1: itachi | 08-17-14, 9:46 PM "aaaahahaha Imaiiii, of course I do know him.. There is a saying in Arabic that goes "and can the moon be hidden?".. I remember in one of the episodes he was hanging off the door knob of the yakuzas with all his might for a whole day to prevent the yakuza from entering the room, and then when he ran away his body froze in that crouching position, he had to be dragged out of the yakuza's den maintaining that same position omg hilarioussssss.. also in another episode when Takashi convinced him to drown after giving him a solid speech about friendship and sacrifice lol.. crazy! <3

Did you watch the Rurouni Kenshin series in Japanese? I totally love the voice actor of Kenshin, the voice has subtle magic in it <3 touches my soul.. Did you read the Rurouni Kenshin manga? The continuation of the tale is even more amazing, and has a proper ending, unlike the OVAs, they ended the series with a filler :( grrr..

Have you heard of the show named Slam Dunk? It has the same sort of highschool delinquents humour similar to Kyou Kara Ore Wa's. Tall rough-looking high-school delinquents who turn into tiny cute "chibis" when doing something silly/mischievous.

You are the first person I came across who has dropped Sword Art Online omg :( I thought something was wrong with me everytime I felt like "why is this show so popular, why can't I come to like it?". I forced myself to continue watching it haha!

I gave Sakigake Cromartie Koukou a try too, thinking it might be similar to Kyou Kara Ore Wa, but dropped it right after the first episode, their humour didn't reach me.

Oh yes, Conan VS Lupin was amazing. I watched it because it was a Detective Conan special, but I ended up rooting for Lupin in the movie haha, and I also decided to watch all of the Lupin series after that special. Hmm I also realised that I might have watched 1 Lupin movie ages ago, I cannot remember the title though. There was a scene where Lupin and the other person throw cash out of the windows of a yellow car at the beginning of the movie, and the end of it. I think some princess was involved as well. I can't remember anything else. However, I do remember how much I enjoyed it. Do you have any idea what the title of that movie might have been? Back then I didn't know it was a Lupin movie.

Wow, you play basketball, cool. I like all sports/basketball anime series, Kuroko no Basuke, Slam Dunk etc.. I do hope you enjoy Slam Dunk when you decide to watch it. _"

4: "I watch all anime in Japanese with English subtitles.  I used to watch dubbed anime in childhood on tv, back in the late 80s and early 90s; not anymore.  For me, anime has to be in Japanese otherwise I cannot enjoy it, I wonder why. I also started learning the Japanese language; spoken and written <3 (I am stuck at JLPT N4 level haha.)

Detective Conan is a long running anime (time consuming but worth it), smart and entertaining.. after watching that special I felt that both the series are similar and hit similar chords! Yesssss, that is the Lupin movie I watched ages ago (in Japanese) and thoroughly enjoyed! Oh, when I said I liked the voice actor of Himura Kenshin, I meant the Japanese voice actor (a female seiyuu by the way, I love her voice)!

You play tennis too? Wow! I don't play any sports haha but anime makes sports so cool and makes me want play as well; like Prince of Tennis, Kuroko no Basuke, Slam Dunk, Hajime no Ippo, and Free! (I did start swimming and loved it haha)."

Yes I agreeee, One Piece (more than any other anime) should be watched in Japanese :O half of the greatness of this series is because of the seiyuus, not just the plot!

Japanese became easy because of anime. Most of the times I used to surprise/shock my instructor by the vocabulary and the phrases I used in my online classes. Sadly, my classes are over, and because I have the basics, I have to study by myself now, but I am too lazy to do so. :( Are you a Libra by any chance? haha I am! Yes written Japanese is difficult, but the spoken is fairly easy I guess.

Wow, you are so passionate about swimming :O are you an expert? I still cannot breathe well while stroking, I know I need to practice to get the timing/rhythm right. I mess up in that and end up holding my breath. I think because I an a "non-dancer" type I cannot move parts of my body differently at the same time. Do you get what I mean -_-" .. I found swimming on my back easy, but then the moment I concentrate upon/realise that I am moving my feet, and swinging my arms differently, I drown! Uncool!

I was about to list the voices I like in One Piece, but then realised I will end up listing the entire cast LOL, true, they are perfect, I can hear them clearly in my head, they are that special and different. I hope your "real world" friend would realise that soon too lol. Haha, I use the term "real life". Oh yes, one of my friends prefers watching anime dubbed. Grrr, rant rant rant!

The Luffy/Ace arc omg was so heartbreaking. One of my friends cried for a week! I loved everything about it, even the opening song when they yell (hora, mae ni taisetsu na kimi gaaaaaaaaaaa matteruuuuuuuu) which means (Look, just ahead there's you, my dear, who's waiting for me.) The song gave me hope :'( but.... There were many omg & goose-bumps moments, I literally do not know where to start from or what to point out! I got the song lyrics and translation from this website.

I loooooooooooooove all the arcs of One Piece, but the Fishmen Island arc was disappointing, I am glad it is over. I am stuck at the arc that comes after it. I watch One Piece with my sister, which means I have to wait for her to be available too. Hmmm, I checked your anime list "again" lol and it says you are at episode 272, does that mean you are re-watching the series in Japanese?

I swim in a pool haha where I can stand on my feet to "save" my life haha. I am a very excellent example of a beginner XD . Swimming is fun!"

I think the mangaka kept Luffy's nakama away from the Luffy/Ace arc intentionally, to make us realise their importance.. and to make Luffy realise too, how important they are to him after the huge shock he was going to get at the end of the arc. I agree, I missed them too, but at the same time it was fun to watch how charismatic Luffy is. People are somehow forced to follow him and want to help him. Lol just amazing! SOOO LUFFY!

I think part of disliking the Fishmen arc was because of the changes in the crew's looks.. I don't think I like the new Nami, Usopp, and Franky. Nami is waaaaaaay too curvy and ridiculously skinny around the tummy area.. Usopp's afro has changed :( I want the old one back, and Franky's cool "coRa" hair is gone :'( .. I think I prefer the young looking Sanji over the new one with a beard.. Yikes, Robin's bangs are gone too :'( waaaaaaaaaaaa (crying) aaaaaaaaaaaaa.. Is it clear how much I am hurt with the changes in their looks, or do I need to explain more? haha.. but I am trying to get used to it :'( waaaaaaaaaa (crying).. Fishmen arc; a disappointing arc, on many levels..

Haha iie iie, it is alright, please update it whenever you decide to.. yes yes I know how it is, to gather lots of episodes and watch them all at once, and smartly stop at a spot where you could wait for months patiently hahaha :D .. yes watching series like One Piece and Naruto with someone is more fun, and then using their language/phrases in the "real world" like for example, "I can't swim, I might have eaten a devil's fruit" or "I'm out of chakra" or "use your sharingan/byakugan" and so on lol even at this age, which is a bit embarassing :P

Omg, loving the danger element and arm strength, both I do not possess haha.. I will listen to you and stay in that small pool for some time!

I read someone else saying what you just said about Hunter x Hunter :O I totally understand what you mean! Maybe later on you will root for someone. Oops, haha my favourite HxH character is a bad guy LOL. Hmm, the 2011 Hunter x Hunter is a remake of the original old Hunter x Hunter series. I have watched the old one, and because I love it, I started watching the new one (which will end soon in September). The new one is fast-paced, while the old one was more stretched. I also heard that the new one covered more chapters from the manga. Both are enjoyable. I cannot choose which one is more fun! Keep me updated kudasai, whether later on you came to like the series or got bored of it. I hope you do enjoy it though.

Your all time favourite anime series (which I haven't watched yet) are already on my plan to watch list. I willmake them top priority hehe.

Yes I can tell you have many favourite anime series, not just 5. For now I will watch your top 5 favourites (I will start this weekend), and later on I will choose other series from your list that scored 10s and 9s. A long way to go.

Zoro's seiyuu has voiced another great character in the series Gintama. Easily one of the COOLEST characters of all time lol persuading no jutsu haha. Hopefully one day you try out Gintama too and discover its magic. I can understand when someone says Gintama is the best series ever :O the "uniqueness" of the individual characters (including the voice acting) reminds me of One Piece. The plot is totally different though.

Because I watched the old Hunter x Hunter, I can tell the difference, and I think I like the old one more, but both are great! Some seiyuus changed too in the new Hunter x Hunter. The plot remains the same.

Yes of course, Cowboy Bebop is my next anime after Samurai Champloo :D Can't wait really..

Everybody loves Gintama, I am sure you will end up having at least 3 favourite characters from that show haha.. I score using my heart as well :P :P :P we have lots of 9s and 10s on our lists, eh? XD
